Get the latest information about what is happening in the park. Ask about park projects, trail only areas, closures, volunteer opportunities, upcoming events, and many more. Maps and brochures are available for free. The event is FREE. Rain or Shine.

 

Jr. Rangers: Safety

Saturday, October 16 from 11 am to 1 pm

Drop by the Jr. Ranger table for fun kid friendly activities located by the kids track in the east end of the park. Learn about OHV safety by playing games, completing activity booklet and coloring pages. Jr. Rangers is a statewide program for 7 – 12 years old. This event is FREE. Rain Cancels.

 

Family Ride: Safety

Saturday, October 23 from 11 am to 12 pm

Have your family join us for a family ride where we will show some safety tips while riding the trail. We plan to ride up East Pottery. The event is FREE. Rain or shine. Rain Cancels.

 

Free ATV Safety Training

Saturday, October 23 at 9:00 am at Training Area

Sunday, October 24 at 9:00 am at Event Area

During Safety Week, CA State Parks, OHMVR, ROHVA, and ASI are offering free training to help you get the most out of your OHV. These classes will help sharpen your skills to ensure that your adventure is both fun and safe for everyone. Students must bring their own ATV and riding gear and E-Course Completion Certificate. To enroll in an ATV Class call (800) 887-2887.

 

Historical Site Plaque Dedication & History Ride

Saturday, October 30 at 11 am 

Join us as we rededicate Carnegie Brick and Pottery Factory as a historical site with a new plaque. Learn about coal mining and the Carnegie Brick and Pottery Plant by riding to the many cultural sites in the park. Meet at the Special Event area where we will ride to the west end and kiln canyon area. Ride rated easy. The event is FREE.
