I support the application of the Friends of El Mirage for a Education and Safety grant. When we first started riding, we had 8 children on motorcycles between my brother and I. I so wish such an educational program was available at the time. I would have put them all into it. I truly feel coming from a certified trainer, the information we tried to instill in them, would have been better received. Fortunately they have been raised with an appreciation for the desert and it's fragile ecosystem, however many, many people see nothing but a vast wasteland. Education is the key to keeping people safe and one the trails. I strongly support fund being made available for this program and will encourage every person I know that rides to utilize it. Thank you for consideration of my comments. Ruth Hidalgo - 3/27/17

The Friends of El Mirage have been doing a great job to help keep trails and public access open for all to enjoy. As OHV use increases so does the need for a top notch Education and training program. Please fund this grant to help ensure public access today and into the future. Mike Wubbels - 3/30/17

I would like to comment on the Friends of El Mirage Ground Operations and Education & Safety M/C Certification grant requests on behalf of the California Off-Road Vehicle Association. These are important grants to maintain and protect a well used and loved OHV area. Please fund these grants as fully as possible. Ed Stovin - 3/30/17
