Through out the region around 3N01 / Hull Creek Camp ground there are a number of trails/roads that could be enhanced by connecting them to nearby trails to create loops ... these distances would be short, enhance the experience for more enjoyable rides over just going out and back the same trail/road ... you already have the machine for creating trails, have used it to complete a loop that I am aware of ... very nice! many more are needed! Thank you for considering this ... Tom Day - 3/9/17

BRC has reviewed the proposal and believes it is appropriate based on the fact the agency manages high quality and popular destination and dispersed OHV recreational opportunities in the Central Sierra. The devastating 2013 Rim Fire adds extra import to the funding of this grant to help preserve and protect the unit’s system trails. BRC appreciates the Forest’s utilization of OHV trail-dozer specialists and volunteers to maintain and/or repair routes and for hosting the 2016 OHV Trail Workshop! Keep up the good work. The Merced Dirt Riders support the ground operations grant request of The Stanislaus National Forest. We request that the Stanislaus NF apply for planning grants for each of the 4 districts. Planning is critical for the increased OHV use on the forest. Planning needs to be now because of all the opened up areas after The RIM FIRE! Planning for now and the future would be easier under the current conditions. Sincerely Michael Damaso, President Merced Dirt Riders - 4/3/17
