I feel grant money should be spent for opening new OHV areas or improving existing trails and facilities. Law enforcement, while important, should not rely on this type of grant funds. I do not support this grant request. Scott Elston – 3/26/16

I do not believe that OHV money was intended for Law Enforcement. My monies should be going towards maintaining the OHV system of parks and creating new opportunities for the tax payers that provide the funding. Chris Gallop – 4/2/16

BRC has reviewed the proposal and believes it is appropriate based on the size and scope of your patrol area. BRC appreciates the excellent working relationship that your office has with the Forest. BRC also appreciates working with your deputies at OHV events and seeing them patrol the campgrounds and route system. The sheriff’s department is an important partner for OHV at this riding area. Don Amador, BRC – 4/4/16

For over 40 years I have been a frequent OHV user to the Stonyford area administered by the U.S. Forest Service, Mendocino National Forest. I have personally observed the pro active and response law enforcement actions taken by the Colusa County Sheriff's Office while providing patrols, contacting OHV users, and dealing with Search and Rescue operations. As a result, I fully support the Colusa County law enforcement grant application for this cycle. Mike Mitchell – 4/4/16
