We are very supportive of the City of Tehachapi efforts for this project. Anne Marie and George Novinger - 3/8/16

One of the most important things we can do as a parent is to give our kids opportunities were they can succeed in life. I make it a daily task to help my kid’s love who they are. I want them to have happy lives and find something they LOVE to do. I want to not only give my kids the instincts and talents to survive but also help them enjoy their lives. My children each have their thing that they LOVE. This happens to be riding and racing dirt bikes. The way I look at it is this is an investment in their futures. Whether they become Pro at the sport or not it still has taught them many things that I believe will help them to be successful contributing adults. There is daily sacrifice on their parts. To be the best you have to train daily. He has to also work hard in school so that he gets good grades, because if he doesn’t have the grades he does not get to ride. Opening a track will benefit many people including my son as well as the community of Tehachapi. It will give kids a safe place to go and ride so that it is not done illegally. It will help the community as most tracks are considered to be self-supporting. When we go out of town to ride for the weekend we easily spend $300-$500 for the entire weekend. We usually visit restaurants, gas stations as well as the local store. I believe that Motocross is more of a family. We have gained close friends that I consider to be more like family. The time that we spend together as a family gets everyone involved it helps to build character and keeps many kids of the streets and away from trouble. I truly believe that nothing bad can come from bringing a track to the community. I hope and pray that the community feels the same way and will allow this OHV park to open in the near future so that my kids can continue to do what they LOVE TO DO!! Kelly Lentz - 3/10/16

Please give serious consideration to the Tehachapi City request for this grant. We are a growing mountain community that is developing quite a reputation as a destiny town for outdoor activities. Our tourism has been increasing due to our events, vineyards, Main Street wine-walks, restaurants and shops. People of all ages enjoy hiking, fishing camping, cycling as well as the featured historical aspects of being a landmark railroad town. To insure that the upcoming generation has a healthy array of sports they can be involved in, this project would continue to promote the healthy well-being of the town. The design project has been well planned and is gathering a full range of supporters. My opinion is that the motocross project would draw additional people to visit Tehachapi, thereby bringing overall financial gain for the town's people and businesses. Ann Arnold - 3/11/16

I strongly support this grant application because the City of Teachapi will use the money to continue development and construction of a 13-acre motocross park to be utilized by local residents and visitors. This project is for by designing and constructing an effluent disinfection station at the motocross facility which will use the effluent for dust control and landscape irrigation. This station will make beneficial use of secondary effluent from the City's 1.25-MGD wastewater treatment plant. This proposal provides a sustainable beneficial use for otherwise unusable wastewater. The motocross park will need water, why not use as much recycled water as possible? This will be beneficial in the long run. Behzad Mohebbi – 3/26/16
