I have lived/worked in the Ridgecrest area for the past 45 years and have seen the increase of OHV activity in the surrounding area. I have had the pleasure of seeing the Kern County Sheriff's Office OHV Team working in the area assisting the OHV community with information, helping lost/injured riders and providing law enforcement services. As an avid rider, I always appreciate seeing the KCSO OHV Team in the desert as it's comforting knowing they are around to help us if we ever encountered a problem. I hope you will assist them with their grant. Sincerely-Karen Scott - 3/10/16

I do not believe that OHV money was intended for Law Enforcement. My monies should be going towards maintaining the OHV system of parks and creating new opportunities for the tax payers that provide the funding. Chris Gallop – 4/2/16

Its a big grant, but it goes to patrol a lot of OHV opportunity. The grant mentions education a few times. It might be good to request a separate education grant, just to keep competition of grants fair. Ed Stovin – 4/2/16
