OHV Law Enforcement and OHV Sound Testing Training
The Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division of California State Parks offers two POST courses to Law Enforcement officers and Forest Preservation Officers statewide to promote consistent enforcement of OHV Laws. Courses are offered at no charge.

Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Law Enforcement Training - 6 hours (Course # 21148)
An introductory course for officers involved with off-highway vehicle (OHV) law enforcement, public safety, and educational programs. Includes application of Division 16.5 of the California Vehicle Code, OHV requirements, registration, equipment, spark arrestors, and an overview of the green sticker program.
Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Sound Testing Training - 6 Hours (Course # 21149)
This class offers an overview of how sound is measured, followed by an afternoon of practical, hands-on experiences, operating sound meters and measuring a variety of equipment.

- All course registrations must be submitted through the OHV Training Program registration webpage.
- For officers who would like to earn POST credit for these courses, a complete and accurate POST ID must be submitted at the time of registration. If you do not have a POST ID or cannot remember it, one can be obtained by calling the POST EDI Help Desk at (877) 275-5872.
- Complete and accurate registration information is required for processing your registration request (e.g. a correct email address, direct phone numbers - not dispatch, etc).
- Courses fill quickly. If you will not be able to attend a class after you have registered, please drop from the class by responding to your confirmation emails. No-shows that result in other students being excluded from the class may reduced priority for your agency in future classes.
