Imperial County Sheriff's Office

The Imperial County Sheriff's patrols a great deal of OHV opportunity, often on weekends and major holidays. They are very much needed to keep peace in these areas and their large request is justified. I see the grant specifies that they patrol Ocotillo Wells and Heber Dunes. This is important, but I believe grant money is not allowed to be used in these areas. It has been suggested that agencies who want to patrol SVRA's should get contracts directly through Calif State Parks OHV division. I would recommend adjusting the grant request accordingly.
