The grant request regarding the access in the Hammil Valley area is a much needed program. That area has highlights such at the Spark Plug Mine that is often visited but sometimes difficult to access. It is important that we respect private property rights and also preserve access to historical and scenic sites. We hope that this grant is approved. Mike Johnston - 3/14/14
I would like to comment on OHMVR grants on behalf of the California Off-Road Vehicle Association.
Bishop Ground Operations looks good, except soil monitoring should go in a planing or restoration grant. Planning is looking for new roads to reach land blocked by private. This is a great use of grant money and should be funded.
Bishop Law Enforcement looks pretty good. One laptop cost $3000? Sounds too high, I got a Dell Latitude for $500 recently. Otherwise should be funded. Ed Stovin - 4/6/14
We own a small ranch on the east side of Hwy 6 in Hammil Valley. I am writing to oppose a grant to provide motorized access to recreational activity along the base of the white Mountains. Pat and Ellen Bartlett - 4/7/14
