2013 Robert Miller Memorial Poker Run

$4,485 Donated to the CALSTAR Air Ambulance Children's Program

The members of the Hollister Hills Volunteer Patrol hosted the 17th Annual Robert Miller Memorial Poker Run Tuesday, January 1, 2013.  This event is held each year to remember Robert Miller who dedicated his life to helping others as a member of the Hollister Hills SVRA Volunteer Patrol.

All donations from this event benefit the CALSTAR Air Ambulance Children’s Program. This program is designed to help ensure that children receive air transportation to a hospital in the event of a severe injury or medical condition regardless of the parent’s ability to pay.

With hopes of drawing cards for a winning hand, 163 riders geared up and rode to the five trail side checkpoints. Motorcycle accessories, riding gear, and service gift cards donated by the many vendors who continually support this event were given to all poker hands. Additionally, all riders who signed up received a raffle ticket and a chance to win one of the five most sought out prizes including an autographed “Carey Hart” riding jersey. Everyone was a winner, and most importantly because of their participation, a check for $4,485.00 was presented to the CALSTAR Air Ambulance Children’s Program!

Thank you everyone for your generous donations!

Thank you Hollister Hills Off-Road Association for all the food and refreshments, everyone was fueled up for the day!

See you next year for the 18th Annual Robert Miller Memorial Poker Run, January 1, 2014!
