USFS - Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit
For a smaller unit, the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit has many different types of OHV/OSV opportunities, including a portion of the Rubicon Trail within it's boundaries. The amount of money requested is not large in comparison to the variety of opportunities offered. The proposal to use "green" signage is interesting, and I would like to know if these types of signs have the same expected longevity as traditional forest service signs.
The Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit has taken an aggressive stance this year to protect OSV opportunities, and I commend the collaborative sessions that were held this past year to protect these opportunities.
CORVA supports this grant request, and asks that it be funded. [Amy Granat, Managing Director, CORVA - 4/2/12]
