OHMVR Division Helps Out at 2011 Jeepers Jamboree

OHMVR Division Participates in 'Pride of the Mountains' Car Show

Photo of the Pride of the Mountains Car ShowSaturday, July 16th, the OHMVR Division participated in Georgetown’s first annual 'Pride of the Mountains' car show. Georgetown is one of the gateways to the famous Rubicon Trail and Division staff were there to spread the word about safe and responsible trail use and the economic value of the Rubicon Trail to local communities. The event was well attended by both car show participants and attendees. The overall impression of the OHMVR Division’s participation was positive and area residents were grateful for this outreach effort on behalf of their community and the fantastic recreation opportunities nearby. [7-19-11]

Radio Rock-otillo Is On The Air

Ocotillo Wells SVRA audibly unwrapped its new public information radio station just in time for the Holidays.  Located on AM 1620, “Radio Rock-otillo” will broadcast interpretive program advertising, natural resource messages, visitor information, and safety advice. [2-23-11]
