BLM - El Centro Field Office
The American Desert foundation supports the BLM El Centro grant application G10-01-09-L01 under Law Enforcement: Providing in car cameras to document violations would provide valuable information of the nature of the violation. Providing in car radar will be invaluable to assist the BLM in enforcing the 15 MPH speed limit near camps and visitors. This will reduce accidents and improve safety in the ISDRA. Providing in car lap top computers will be a valuable tool for BLM to provide current information to its Rangers in the field. Allowing improved enforcement of laws and regulations in the ISDRA.
The American Desert foundation supports the BLM El Centro grant application G10-01-09-R01 for Restoration : The Yuha Area and East Mesa are valuable resources and continuing the restoration of closed routes and mitigating the off road impacts will benefit all visitors to these areas.

This project will enhance the education of ISDRA visitors to this area. Knowledge of the area improves land stewardship and reinforces protecting the historic nature of the area.
