Oak Tree Restoration (Hollister Hills SVRA)
The young oak tree pictured below was in danger of becoming an island due to excessive trail use and erosion. Restoration of the area included recontouring the slope, reseeding the area, and diverting Park visitors to a more sustainable trail. The mistletoe in the lower left branches of the tree was also removed to help facilitate the tree's recovery.
