Juniper Trail (Carnegie SVRA)

Juniper Trail Restoration

An area between Lower Juniper Trail and Juniper Trail had numerous small gullies running through the area and had been stripped of vegetation. (A gully is an incised portion of the landscape created by accelerated erosion.) Park staff, with the help of the California Conservation Corp, loosened the soil, seeded it with native vegetation, and placed erosion control blankets on the slope to stabilize the soil and seed. The photos below show only a small portion of the project.
